Clubhouse Services

Open Sky's Clubhouses are communities dedicated to the rehabilitation of adults recovering from mental illness. They are members of the Massachusetts Clubhouse Coalition, an organization comprising 33 clubhouses throughout the Commonwealth. Through a variety of meaningful and engaging tasks, members have the ability to develop, or refresh employment skills, explore educational opportunities, and participate in social activities.

Crystal House provides services to residents of the Greater Gardner Area. The club has an average enrollment of 80 members, with an average daily attendance of 30. In addition to Gardner, communities served by the club include Templeton, Winchendon, Ashburnham, Westminster, Hubbardston, Princeton, Barre, Rutland, Oakham, New Braintree, and Hardwick.

Tradewinds is a vocational rehabilitation programs that promotes the Clubhouse model. Tradewinds was established in 1990 and is open to adults living with severe and persistent mental health conditions, residing within our catchment area. There are no fees for membership, and membership is voluntary and without time limits. The Clubhouse creates structure to develop meaningful relationships through the Work Ordered Day and social programs. Tradewinds is a place to experience positive changes with the support of others. We focus on your abilities during your recovery process. Clubhouses are an evidence-based mental health recovery model.

Tradewinds Clubhouse is an accredited Clubhouse, and a member of Clubhouse International and the Massachusetts Clubhouse Coalition.

Tradewinds is an employment focused community where members work side by side with staff in the running of the Clubhouse. The Work Ordered Day is to help members rebuild stamina and structure and is meant to parallel a typical working day.

Tradewinds serves the towns of Southbridge, Sturbridge, Charlton, Dudley, Oxford, Webster, Holland, Wales, Brimfield, Warren, Brookfield, North Brookfield, East Brookfield, West Brookfield, Spencer.
